Ok it's not the gun owners fault that our government screwed up

“And the problem is, anybody can walk in and buy anything, .50-caliber weapons, sniper weapons, buy them in large amounts, and send them down to Mexico. So, the question really becomes, what do we do about this?

The employees and owners of the shops the ATF used to pull this off knew that something wasn't right and tried to report the sales but they were told to look the other way.

It is absolutely ridiculous to think that U.S. gun shops are a major source of cartel weapons. The cartels have been able to come up with many innovative ways to get around border security measures, even building fully functioning submarines in the middle of the jungle. Does the government really expect us to believe that the same people who can do that (and run the large and successful businesses that the cartels fundamentally are) cannot do a basic product comparison? On one hand, you have a $700 semi-automatic rifle from a U.S. gun shop, which you then must get across the border. On the other hand, you have a black-market military grade assault rifle for a fraction of the price which either comes from corrupt officials in the Mexican government or from South America across their less secure southern border. It doesn't take an MBA to know which is the more economical choice.

Tell me, Diane, what exactly is the difference between a "sniper weapon" and your standard hunting rifle? How many crimes have been committed with those ".50-caliber weapons"?

As someone who once had a carry permit (she claims she no longer has a gun or permit) this woman is such a hypocrite. Nut I guess that's how it is with all politicians, they don't have to follow the same rules we "regular people" have to.

Very well said and you took the words right out of my mouth. Now I'm waiting to see what the anti weapons crowd here says about this

There They Go Again

“And, I’d really rather concentrate on the constructive, rather than other things

I'll bet she would since the "other things" are likely to give Obama a lot of problems and consist of questions that she would rather not have asked at all. The real question is, is she an idiot or does she think we are?
